• Is natural shampoo better for your hair?

  • Yes, many traditional shampoo's contain ingredients like silicones, which initially may seem to make your hair seem smoother, however this can impact moistures ability to permeate into the hair and dry out the hair over time.

    Natural shampoo's also don't strip everything from your hair and scalp, like a traditional shampoo does. Traditional shampoo's use chemicals like SLS and parabens to cleanse the hair and scalp but often strip the healthy natural oils as well as the dirt and grime. Natural shampoo's use botanical extracts to strip only the dirt and grime but leave the healthy oils.
    

    PapayaActivs natural shampoo's are also formulated to cleanse the pores in the scalp as well and assist with hair growth and health. Unfortunately many DIY options using things like bicarbonate of soda and traditional shampoo's using chemicals block these pores and impede hair growth.
    Natural shampoos are much better for the environment. PapayaActivs shampoos are biodegradable and come in recyclable packaging. Cruelty-free, they are not tested on animals and vegan.

• Can I use your natural shampoo on my dog?

  • Yes, pawpaw is not toxic to dogs or to cats and combined with our natural botanical extracts our shampoo can be used on pets. As with any product we do recommend patch testing before use though. Just in case your pet has an allergy to pawpaw or one of the other extracts, this is very rare though.

• Can I use your natural shampoo everyday?

  • Yes. All our shampoos are formulated for daily use with natural ingredients and botanical extracts. We only suggest that without actual scalp problems you are dealing with, the replenishing shampoo may be the better choice as a normal daily use shampoo.

• What shampoo is best for my hair?

  • We have two different natural shampoo's.
    
    The first is our replenishing shampoo, this one is best for everyday use for general nourishment, care and restoration of hair. It also helps defrizz and detangle hair naturally. As with all PapayaActivs products it uses a high concentration of natural pawpaw to accomplish this. It's a great choice for rejuvenation of the scalp and general care.
    
    Our other shampoo is the scalp care shampoo. Our scalp care shampoo is formulated for even the most sensitive. Containing no fragrance of any kind, even natural. Our scalp care shampoo contains a significantly higher concentration of natural pawpaw extract, to clean, exfoliate and rejuvenate the scalp. This shampoo is generally used to restore the scalp, tackle itchiness, dandruff and flaking. It’s a life saver for those with eczema or psoriasis or some other skin condition that can effect the scalp.

• Do PapayaActivs natural shampoo's thicken hair?

  • The pawpaw in the shampoo is known to promote new hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles, moisturising the hair strands and improving your hair and scalp's health.

• Do your shampoo's use any chemicals or preservatives?

  • All our products are chemical free and made using only natural active ingredients. We use combinations of natural extracts and botanicals synergistically to preserve our products. The knowledge of how to do this has been hard won after over 15 years of research and development.

• Are any of your natural shampoo's fragrance free?

  • Our scalp care shampoo is fragrance free. This being said, our replenishing shampoo only uses natural fragrances.

• Can we use your natural shampoo on babies?

  • Yes, PapayaActivs products are natural and hypoallergenic. We do recommend that the scalp care shampoo be used though, as this is the most sensitive. You should also patch test before use, as with any product on your loved ones.
