• What is pawpaw soap?

  • Pawpaw soap is a naturally made soap containing pawpaw, that is the extract of the pawpaw (papaya) fruit. Pawpaw has many benefits for the skin and has become a renowned skincare ingredient. Soap containing pawpaw has likewise become known as a highly effective natural cleanser often used to help with other conditions and effect, like acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation etc. (For a complete list of the benefits of pawpaw soap, read the section on Pawpaw soap benefits). Our soap contains a massive 20% natural pawpaw extract and combines it with a series of other botanical extracts to form a soft luxurious, hypoallergenic soap suitable for daily use, even by those with sensitive skin.

• Can pawpaw soap remove pimples or dark spots?

  • Yes, although it's the extremely high Vitamin C content that actually does the work. Pawpaw has an extremely high Vitamin C concentration and Vitamin C is one of the best natural ingredients for helping with hyperpigmentation. This is because its slows the synthesis of melanin in your skin. Sun spots, and hyperpigmentation are usually caused by UV damage, causing larger amounts of melanin (the substance that is responsible for your skin's pigmentation) to be released. Melanin actually protects our body from UV rays so it makes sense that after sun damage our body releases more.

• Can I use your pawpaw soap every day?

  • Yes, we stay away from harsh cleansers and chemical ingredients, instead using botanical extracts, with pawpaw extract as the main active ingredient. This makes our soaps hypoallergenic and suitable for even those with sensitive skin, or skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema. That being said, we do still recommend patch testing prior to use, just in case you have an unknown allergy to one of the botanical extracts (which would be quite rare but not impossible).

• Is your soap chemical free?

  • Yes, we don't use any chemical cleansers, parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances or other synthetic ingredients in any of our products. Our pawpaw soap is made from a combination of pawpaw, and other botanical extracts.

• Can papaya soap whiten the skin?

  • Yes, pawpaw has natural bleaching properties due to its high vitamin c content. Vitamin c reduces melanin production in the skin, resulting in a lightening of skin tone. Combine this with it's enzyme papain, which exfoliates and you have a potent natural skin lightening solution. This is good not only to lighten over tanned areas or remove farmers tan, but to even skin tones and reduce hyperpigmentation. Another popular use is the lightening of underarms.

• Do you make pawpaw cream?

  • Yes, we produce the pawpaw cream with the highest concentration of pawpaw on the market, with a whopping 60% pawpaw extract. We are able to produce a cream with such a high percentage only due to our years in extensive R&D of natural products and use a synergistic blend of natural ingredients to preserve the cream for a 3 year shelf life.
